About Me...
I am Megon with a long “e”. I am a small person at only 4’10 ½”, but I have a big spirit and a big thumb that I will keep in your back as you reach your goals! I have been a runner for over 15 years, and a fitness enthusiast for longer than that.
My earliest memory is my Papa holding me up to see my new baby brother through the wired window at the hospital when I was two years old. Ever since that day, I was someone important, because I was Josh’s sister. As we found out that Josh had Ataxia-Telangiectasia (A-T), staying healthy took on a new importance for our whole family. Today, he is my biggest cheerleader and we help each other stay fit! We’ve had so much fun creating workouts together, that we decided to share them with the world.
I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor by day and a Personal Trainer by morning, night, and weekend! My careers marry in my passion for equipping ALL people to fulfill their personal missions. Fit at Heart is a proud supporter of the Ataxia-Telangiectasia Children's Project in honor of my brother, Josh. You will notice that my web address is "fitA-Theart.com" - a nod to the rare genetic anomaly that brought my family to a place where we recognize the infinite importance of good health, mobility, and eating well.
I have a keen personal and professional understanding of serving people with different strengths and needs. I proudly bring my skills of assessment, counseling, and making sound, ethical recommendations within my scope of expertise to the world of fitness. I love everyone! And I believe EVERY SINGLE PERSON has a purpose and a mission they need to be ready to meet head on! Come on and join me!
